In the interest of economy I think I'll put a 2 barrell carb on my 409. Whatdya think?:dunno
It only flows about 3500 cfm though....you think that will be enough? I thought about 3x2's but I think there might be a problem fabbing an intake/air cleaner. and some hood clearance issues.:eek:

Cecil, I think one of those carbs will be enough, however, looks like you may need a tall hood scoop!!!!!!:rofl :rofl

Dont satnd too close that thing will eat ya alive. One open throttle and there goes what evers close by. That is wild. :rofl :rofl :rofl John

That's a spare carb off my T-28. It's a Bendix-Stromberg pressure injection carb designed to feed 1820 cubic inches at 12,000 lbs of air per hour. At 14:1 mixture that's still a lot of gas....anywhere from about 40gph at low cruise power to way over 100gph at max.:eek: I have about 10 parts carbs at the hangar. Overhaul is about $2000 last time I priced it. I wonder if I could hollow one out to slip over the AFB for grins.:scratch
