anyone know what part #'s for Phenolic spacers are
I have 2 new 500 elderbrocks # 1403 and 1404 on the org. intake
need the spacers to cool down the carb
I think they are boiling the fuel and vapor locking
I drove the car into town today ( about 15 minutes ) small town
got the engine to operating temp about 185*
came home and shut it off and left the hood down waited 30 minutes and tryed to start the engine again
It would not start and I noticed the fuel in the inline fuel filter(glass bowl ) did not have any in it I had to hold the acc. pedel on the floor and keep cranking the engine untill it finally started
I let the car set for about 2 hours and decided to do the run into town again and check the engine out
this time I came home and opened the hood, and let it set for 30 minutes
fuel is now showing in the fule filter glass bowl
tryed to start the engine and the same thing had to hold the acc. pedel on the floor to start the engine
the elect. chock is turned wide open, and unpluged from the hot wire
gas tank is full
engine temp is about 190*
I have 1 inch alumn. spacers on the motor now, but I guess they are getting hot also:dunno :dunno :dunno
Ronnie helped me out last night, and told me a lot of good information on setting up the adjustments of the front and rear carbs
can anyone help on this frustating problem
starting to feel like NUTS now
Seems like it never ends
motor is for sell along with the car either together or seperate( will pull engine)
but still want to get it running right
