This is the fan I use. It is the best low speed cooling I have experienced with any fan. I had to trim it about a 1/2 inch to fit my shroud. Aluminum GM CURVE TIP 7 blade fans are used on Camaros and GTOs in 17.5 and 18 inch. I paid about $25 for mine at a swap meet. Guy said it was for a 70-71 GTO. I used to temp creep up at idle or in slow traffic until I switched to this fan. This Ebay price is a bit steep, but you get the idea.

Thanks 'models916' on the fan advise. I'll take any advise I can on cooling!
I came across a fan this afternoon at the local shop and bought it out of the 'used 1/2 price' pile for $5 bucks.
It's a 7 blade fan and the only markings are "FRONT" and "FBX". Monkey boy at the shop claimed that it came off a 70' Camaro that they were working on, but it looks alot different than the one posted on Ebay that you linked to. There was no clutch or mounting bracket so I could not match any serial numbers... and it appears to be stamped steal, not aluminum.
Does yours look exactly like the Ebay fan or is it similar to the attached picture of my 'discard' fan? (Please keep the laughing to a minimum)

Thanks again for the help. For all I know, this might be a F$*D buss fan.

Mine is the same as the one on Ebay. Curved tips, aluminum, clutch hub. The one you pictured is probably the non clutch version. 7 blades are better than 5 at low speed. I would bet that the fan you pictured would be an improvement.
