814 409 block suffix codes

hello , well today i found a 409 in an old ford roadster ,its the 814 casting ,it has a suffix code of FA , i find that only in a 348 block , did someone stamp it themselves , it has 379 heads and a tripower , thats all wrong ,is the code too ? any help would be appreciated, also found a set of them header style 409 exhaust manifolds there too

814 is 1963 409 block. 379 heads are 348 passenger. FA is suffix for 348. Sure it is not a QA?

yes im sure its an FA , and i knew that was a 348 code , If it was a QA i would have payed him the 1500 he wants for motor , i think someone tryed to make people believe it was a 348 they got beat by !! , would this still be a good buy ? it does have an original tri power with the right carbs , and the 583 ,584 exhaust manifolds

I would say at Ebay prices the exhaust manifolds & the tripower are worth $1500

Whatis the casting date? Are you positive it is 814 and not 811 ? :scratch

i am about 99 percent sure , i may go back with a counter offer to him ,

and im not sure but isnt the 811 block only compatible with the 791 heads ? this block has 379 heads
