I just tried them, guys.... seem to work normally.
They're in an odd format. They play directly in your browser window, rather than media player. Just wait for page to load.
Here's a direct link to the smallest one:
http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/chevy409may152005burnout.html
Should open a new window, and run there. To replay, just "refresh" page.

I just checked again..... works fine from here... on 3 different computers:dunno
Think I'll stick to installing pistons and cams:coffee:

The link you just posted worked just fine for me. I then went to your web site and tested all the video clips...all downloaded pretty quick and worked great.

I was hoping to be able to get some proper drag race videos ( not a supposed race car... SPINNING right through 1st gear:dunno ) in a couple weeks, but MAN, the delays with this engine:bang...
Doing trial assembly, checking valve-to-piston clearance ( a CONSTANT concern )... retarded the cam 4 degrees, had to re-face the new exhaust valves in order to get them .055" away from the pistons.
Anyhow, you can probably tell that I'm paying attention to things here.
Well... I file fit the rings, and did the final assembly of the rods to the pistons.
Went to install the rings on the pistons... and the stupid 2nd ring didn't fit in the groove:bang .
Turns out that the ring groove isn't deep enough for the ring to fit in:cuss
:bang
The old rings fit fine... new ones are wider for some reason.
I would have had this thing test running / cam break in on Wednesday.
Now, because I'm in a hick town in Alberta, my special order rings, even with ultra fast ( read EXPENSIVE ) shipping, probably won't get here for 7-10 days:mad:
After it's test run, I still have to remove the engine and transport it 135 miles to the dyno. After that, I can complete the car assembly, adjust the chassis as best I can ( including this 4 wheel disc brake setup ).
Even if everything goes right, there will be no way to make a single test run before Friday, July 6th in Edmonton... at the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals:eek:
Yeah... during qualifying at the biggest drag race event in western Canada.... a great time for a first-time test 'n tune:doh

I feel your pain Aubrey. There will always be Murphy's Law gremlins around, when a person assembles an engine.:bang :dunno Skip:)

Murphy... yeah, I had job a long time ago... that's what the guys called me:stooges
Found out what caused my ring mix up. Pistons machined for back-cut second ring ( lower tension ). My guy at Ross forgot that he spec'd them that way:doh .
New 2nd groove set should be here on Thursday.
On a positive note... got the brake hose dilemma sorted out. Found a company in Calgary that makes custom brake hoses... braided stainless steel, correct ends, no adaptors. Only about $10 more than a standard hose from the parts store:deal .
On Wednesday, I'm picking up the rear axle housing from my machinist. I had calculated and measured everything here, and did a drawing for the disc brake adaptor brackets. Bernie just finished them, along with the doing the little modification to the Moser axles. Drew the flanges in .575" on each side, giving me clearance for the fat wheels/tires.
In a few days, should be just a matter of bolting things together:brow

Robert... the 3 Pontiac vids will pretty much always work ( JIMMM!... you need a new computer:stooges )... they're in standard mpeg format... plays in your media player.
My website guy ( the person who initial uploaded my site in early 2000 ), added the Pontiac vids in 2001. Since early 2003, when I took over doing the updates and building the site, I have never been able to upload a regualr video. Just that silly "in your browser window" format.
There's always "You tube"
They're all there... and a few others that I posted.
I sure hope this "race car" operates like a race car this time:doh ....
if it DOES.... THEN you're gonna see some videos:deal
But then again... there's NUMEROUS other members here, with much faster cars.
Need to see them in action:bow
