Iron Powerglide 1959 rebuildable for sale
This is an ebay auction - the initial asking price has just been lowered to $150
After almost 6 months without a job I'm reduced to having a "garage" sale.

Thanks Astro, if you really wanna help you can tell all your friends that I have a tranny for sale.
So far, my ebay isn't doing anything, but it's only been three days and my limited experience tells me to watch for the action to come in the last hour or two.
For my next trick, I have a set of four 14" 'chrome reverse' wheels with bias ply tires in good, functioning condition available to sell. They're leftovers from a previous project and I was keeping them to use them as "mock up" or shop tires for my next project. All things considered, there may not be another project.
I'm also thinking of selling the tiller and the chipper-shredder both of which are in like-new condition. After that, it may be time to sell the 348 that I've been building.
Any clues why the oil-field machinery business is so slow while the price of gas is so high and the oil industry is getting so much gov't subsidies?

I wouldn't get my hopes up too high on selling the PG. My experience has been that you can't give them away unless you get lucky and find someone doing a restoration to original. Seems like eveyone wants a more modern aluminum tranny and thinks the old PG is junk and too expensive to rebuild. Actually it is a good trans although heavy.:dunno

For those of you who have been "watching" my ebay auction without bidding
can't say I blame you.
Not knowing any better, I put the inintial asking price too high. Tried to lower it but the ebay software would not "take" my edit. Tried repeatedly to lower it to $150 - the edit never worked.
Now the auction is almost over so in a few minutes you can call me at
713-683-9531 to talk about your best offer or come by and look at it.
May not be available between 10:00 and 3:00 tomorrow but virtually any other time.
