Before last weeks cruise I noticed I had a funny stumble or miss around 2200-2500RPM. So I figuring it was in the ignition pulled my MSD 6A , Comp 9000 unilite and reverted to a Comp 9000 Mallory DP and Mallory coil. Ran out of time to test so I had to run as it was. Same deal. 2500 RPM and you can feel the surge but not as bad a when the higher end stuff was in. After you get to 3000RPM is goes like mad. I run a seperate power supply for my ignition system and have checked for voltage drop, nada.
All new wires all new plugs so now I am wondering what else it could be. Here is what I have been told to try or are ideas.

1. Disconect the tach .. huh? Read that in a forum
2. Bad coil
3. bad wires - new
4. Holley 950 air bleeds incorrect
5. Put the undrilled butterfilies in, mine are drilled front and rear, thats how it came.

I have to fly back to o'fallon mo the 22nd so I am only looking to put together a list of items to check.

Hey Tic

After those changes and still getting the stumble, I'd be lookin'
at fuel.............:scratch

Check the filter(s) and the pressure......I had a similar situation
and it was a dirty filter......:doh
How's the regulator... it could be messing up........:bang

good luck.........

Check the timing at cruise rpm, may be too much advance!

I took her to the builder and well the winner is FATRIDE!! :cheers To much advance plus I need to drop down some on the jets.
I do not know about some but when your 60 rips through three grears, my N50 tires are still spinning, after your engine builder tunes it and is still sliding into fouth I guess thats good to go!:beerbang I have not even go beyond 5 g's and this crazy thing goes like a bat out of hell!! Ron says take it to 7500 where I built it then you'll see nuts!!!

Ahh NO... I need a new diaper.....................
