Phil has been to Texas again

I picked this mag up and looked at this nice 409 and then read where it was taken from Texas and is now in Kansas. It wasn't Phil's name but I'll bet he had something to do with it and used a stage name!!!

I didn't own the car but have known Larry King for years. Tried to read the article and made out that the car has an NOS front end. That is true............I sold the complete NOS front end to Larry about 5 years ago. I had purchased the pieces for my 63 originally. But after looking at my car real close, decided to salvage the original front that is still on the car.

I haven't seen the car done. It is in Topeka, KS. I quit buying Chevy Rumble when Doug left but will have to go buy this issue! Thanks for posting!! Good to see the 409s getting ink....and a cover photo!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap :clap :clap

Phil: When I scanned that I used 75 dpi because I was worred about file size. The pictures were ok but the small print is a little tough I agree. Let me know if you can't find it and I will scan at say 150 dpi for you.

I have not seen the car at any cruise nights. I would like to. Looks like a very nice car.
And the issue with doug leaving chevy rumble? Im not sure when, But I quit buying some time ago when they stopped showing w cars and started showing camaros. Is that about the same time?
