A friend has suggested going to Norwalk from the east by going off I80 at Youngstown and taking I76 to Akron then Rt 18 to Norwalk. It is shorter in mileage but he thought there might be less truck cops. I am a little over with my rig.
Also in Pa and Ohio do race car/show car trailers have to stop at the scales etc. In Md. now they are posted 10,000 combined GVW weight MUST stop. This is how they are getting the landscapers and sponsered race cars!!!

Bad move on those directions! :evil

Not sure where your located in Md. but get to Pa. turnpike & follow it west , turns into Ohio turnpike & follow it west to the exit for Norwalk . Don't know what the # is , some tolls , decent road & no "Truck Police" . :D

No scales on either turnpike!

Robert, 176/80 is a good road, The connection for Rt. 18 in Youngstown takes you on a portion of Rt.77. The good news is,,,,,,,You will be passing Summit racing on Rt.76. You can stop and do a litle window shopping! :brow Dennys Suggestion is pretty straight forward, not many connections.

The turnpike 118 exit is Ohio state route 250, the exit is about 15 north of Norwalk and is a straight shot south from the turnpike. A very easy, no hassle way to the track. You can always go back the other way and stop by Summitt on the way home on Sunday.

I just went by Norwalk twice in three days, guess you might call it a "dry run"???

Mom lives in the suburbs of Cleveland, flew in to visit her on Thursday then headed via rental car PAST Norwalk to Toledo, Ohio for a reunion with some high school buddies. I got excited when we approached the highway 250 exit for Norwalk :).

Same thing happened yesterday on the way back to the airport. It's still there :). Wish I had my '62 better prepared, would have liked to make one single long trip :).

See you all Friday in Norwalk!

Cheers,
TomK
