Hi guys I'm new here. But not to Chevys. Gotta ask you guys 'cause you are the ones that know, how far can i bore a '60 348 block and have it live for 50,000 miles? I've got a line on three '59 El Camino's. I was gonna build a 348/396 crank motor for a '56 Chevy. The '56 went to another owner, and the El Camino's are calling my name, LOL Figure the El Camino is heavier so more cubes are in order. BUT I don't want to afford a 409. So a bored and stroked 348 gets the nod. Besides I've got two complete 348's and the steel 396 crank and balancer and BBC timing cover and two sets of BBC con-rods, and i gotta do something with 'em. Thanks in advance, Gary
