Just want to get it out again that I'm still looking for a 62 for door Impala, or 61/62Bonneville 4 door - hopefully in the Pacific northwest (northern tip of California is okay).
There seem to be a lot on ebay and hemmings in the middle, south-east and eastern US but that's too far for me.
I'd like a driver with a decent original interior. Engine/tranny combo is not important. I could trailer it back home if I had to, but it would be fun to fly down and drive it back.
Thanks for helping. wally:bow

Keep an eye on craigslist.org , probabally have better luck and better price than anything found in hemmings.
This one was in portland this week

these were listed in redding Ca, maybe further than you want to go.

Hey Tim - just a note to let you know that I checked all three sites about a week after you posted them and all were expired.
I'm going to check this on a daily basis and if you see of any more 4 door Impalas on the west coast, I would be interested.
My ideal car would be one that's original in all respects, roadworthy (with a decent interior and minimal rust) and might need a paint job.
Central California is not too far away - I-5 can get me there in a hurry. And if the car is good enough, a change of oil, hoses and belts might be all that's needed to drive it back here - did that once from Sacramento in 1980 in a 62 SS.
My close second choice is a 61 Bonneville 4 door.
Thanks again for keeping your eyes open - I really appreciate it. wally

Nice looking car !!! Of course I'm partial to 4 dr h/t :rofl Asking $5,800 means he will take $5,000. If the new paint is not hiding a lot of body filler, price seems good to me. JMO..
