If you didnt already see it, The TV show American Muscle Car shown on Speed Vision network (Oct 20, 2003 8pm) devoted the whole show to the 409 and some early coverage on the 348, shown Nascar and early drag races with Old reliable etc. I digitally recorded it thru my computer but i dont know the legal stuff to rebroadcast it thru a real audio file. Maybe we could write the show and ask permission to be available to the 348-409 site.
But wait will be on again Oct 25 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Saturday!!!!

Mark. what a cool program. I would love to have a copy of that program, and I would really like to know who owns that 62 red 409 bubbletop. I got a couple hundred questions on that restoration. I wonder if we could get copies from speed vision. Mark, how would we go about it? BBQ

Hey, How about that ?????
It turns out that I was channel surfing on the TV last night and I stopped on American Muscle Car on Speed Vision. Obviously it caught my attention, so I watched the whole episode too. I really enjoyed it, and anyone out there that missed it, should try to catch the re-broadcast. Rockfish

If I had money to bet it is the same red car that is in several books that I was told is one of the two red ones for sale in the 50000 range right now. I have seen them both on web sites several times, but I can't remember if it was the Texas car or the other one that was in the book off hand.

I don't get SpeedVision either. If there was a way to purchase the broadcast or to buy the rights to disseminate the original, that would be interesing. I suspect the copyright covers the rebroadcast as a violation.
Keep us cable-challenged folks apprised if there's a listing where one can purchase copies. I know History Channel sells copies for around $19.95. I would own one if that's the price :)
Best,

Did anybody record this show? I couldn't find anybody in my area that had access to this channel. I even called a friend of mine in Arizona that I know gets this channel, but they didn't have a VCR hooked up to it. Help me out here. I would really like a copy of this show.

I recorded it on my ReplayTV and it stopped 1 second before the end.
I recorded it on my PC and the Elecard codec registration nag flitters all over the screen and the motion is jerky.
I can't win.
