Ok, here we go again. Lets play "stump the members" :D Found these in a 55 Olds and it doesn't look like they are from it.
Lets see if we have an fender skirt experts here. Also the metal speaker screen. I couldn't find any place in the 55 for it so it must be from something else. :dunno
Good luck...

Bob, the speaker screen appears to be the same as my 59 El Camino and 59 Impala.:scratch

Thanks W Head, I bet your right. I found an AM pushbutton radio in that pile as well. I didn't know what it was until I brought it home and searched ebay for radio's that have "Straight line tuning" on them. :D Turns out it matched a 59 radio listed.
Thanks,
Bob

What the heck is that? :D I think they look more like they came out of a lake. :p
As soon as I figure out what they fit, I'll be putting them on ebay. :deal

A Henways about 2-3 pounds:rofl
Sorry I couldn't resist.
The other set of skirts "might" and I emphasize "might" be for an early 50s GM, they also may be aftermarket.

Hey Bob,1st set (light colored skirts) appear to be exactly how 55 Olds were made.My Dad had a friend who had a 55 Olds 88.He didn't like the look of the fender skirt because it left the rear wheels still exposed. He added a section to the open flare of those skirts to cover in the wheel like most fender skirts did.Looked great from a distance .but up close you could see how the section was added.
Second set with grooves in appear to be after market(maybe Foxcraft Brand) for early 1949-1951 Ford,Mercury or Plymouth.I remember seeing that style back in mid-to late 50's. Hope this helps,I may be wrong but thats my guess and I'm sticking to it !!!!!!. John

Thanks John! That gives me something to start with anyway. I'll search ebay and the net for those cars and see if any are listed and showing fender skirts. :brow
I couldn't really tell if either of these were from the 55 Olds as the quarters were so rotted! The inspection sticker is from 1968!

Bob,
Check the thickness of that speaker grille. The padded dash cars use a thicker/taller speaker screen. Pretty hard to find if you need one. Could be worth a few more bucks. I know 57 and 58 are interchangeable but not sure if 59-60 are also.:dunno

Cecil, this is about 3/16" at the sides so probably not for a padded dash. ? :dunno Wish it was thicker though, I like "more bucks". :D

John, you were right on with the first set. I did some searching and found pictures confirming these are for a 1955 Olds 88 2 & 4 door sedan. I also learned this car is a Holiday coupe. (another benefit of junkyarding is learning about other cars) :)
I can't find anything to match the other pair. They do look similar in shape to the 49-51 Ford & Mercury but those don't have the ribs like these. You might be right again though, maybe they are aftermarket and that explains those ribs ?
Thanks!

Thanks John! Those are the ones. You guys are good!
I found some on the net for 49-51 Ford/Mercury that didn't have the ribs.
Thinking maybe I better clean these up a bit before listing them, they look rough with the paint on them.

Yep,I guess I'm really showing my age.Turned 60 this year.Scratching my head, trying to figure out what happened to those years from 30 to 59..But let me tell you,I might be 60,but I still have the car thing bad.Between driving my 64 Chevy 409,4 speed convertible, my 73 Corvette L-82,4 speed coupe and my 05 Cadillac CTS-V(ZO6),6 speed sedan, life has been good.
