Ski boats with 409's were some what common back in the day (SoCal). That's where/how I got my first and only 62 QB 409 hp engine. My neighbor had one, needed to be freshened up. He traded me the engine for a rebuilt 454. I put it in a 62 Impala. Funny thing now is I threw away all the boat specific hard parts, Offy timing cover, alum mani's some other stuff. I wonder now if there are people that would buy 409 marine parts??????????
