Oil Slinger

I went to a local machine shop near me to have some work done.While I was there we got to talking about my 409 engine. The subject of the oil slinger came up and he said that with neoprene gaskets there would be no need for it. IS THIS TRUE? Could someone reply on this.It don't sound right to me.

Run the slinger, no matter what seal type is used.

Amen to what Ignition man said and I would check the machine shop's work because he is suffering from cranial recktitius. :p Roy
