Ok, so I couldn't take the easy way out or listen to reason.
Thanks go out to Cecil and Tom for searching out some rivets on eBay!:clap
I thought to my self that if I want an old Chevrolet part I had better go to an old Chevrolet dealer. Bob Brown Chevrolet has been in Des Moines for a long time. Since at least the early 60s.
It took 3 countermen and the use of the OLD parts BOOK and the standard parts catalog but they found the part number!
#10229247. They come in a pack of 10.
They are steel and are in a black oxide finish. The shank has a straight knurl. Same rounded head.
