Has anyone got any information/history on a Weiand 6-71 blower manifold for a "W". When they were made, how many??? etc. etc.

i would also like to know. i have only seen four of these in my lifetime. one on a skiboat out west, one on a dragster at the hotrod reunion in Ohio last year, one on ebay awhile back and the one i have.

You can add another to the list........ I just found one that's NOS............ brand new...... I won't even take it to my shop..... it's in the bedroom closit.:)

Have you used yours?? I've been watching for a cross ram for my next 409. I want to build a high HP engine.......... I guess I'll be looking for a blower now.

yours is the first one i have seen for small port heads, still a good piece. the one i have was new when i bought it 30 years ago at a swapmeet here in Ohio. it's on an engine, you can see it in our photo album section here on this site under gearhead409.

I remember seeing those, for sale, 40 years ago, in Honest Charley's catalog.

WOW........ can you imagine the flow you could get with a 6-71 on a set of 583's or the new aluminum heads !!

I've only seen a few blower manifilds on Ebay, mostly for a 4-71 blower, and all for the small heads. I know you can buy an Offy that's had the top cut off & made into a blower intake.

I'm thinking that a set of 817's and a stroker crank under the Weiand with a 6-71 will be pretty fantastic.........

Yes Robert I did get lucky....... now I just have to save more money !!

i think you will be happy with that thing sitting on a big inch W engine. it sure will get some lookers where ever you go. under pressure i don't think those 817 heads will slow you down one bit.
