I know it's a MOPAR (Mostly Old Parts And Rust) but, when Hayden switched due to loss of GM factory sponsorship and decision to pull out of racing (late 63); he raced this beauty.
Nice car all the same. posting for historical purposes...
Notice: 1962 NHRA Mr. Stock Eliminator painted on 1/4 sail panel. We all know where (and with what) he earned that title. ;)

The tape I got from Fred shows this 64 running at Riverside!! Cool tape...gotta figure out how to get it copied to CD!!

Phil, it wasn't Riverside. Was going to call to give you some idea what you were seeing. We were at Lions, and Carlsbad. I think what you think is Riverside is Carlsbad. Lot of sand around.

I'll never learn my Mopars!!
BUT, Hayden drove a 63 Z-11 Chevrolet in 1963. He told me his first Plymouth was delivered to him in Feb. 1964. I doubt that they would have given him a year old model!!

Can't change the fact that is a 63' Phast. I owned one, it was a 413 "typewriter"...got my arse wooped by a buddy's '09-340 horse-glyde every time!:eek:
