I'm pleased to pass on the information that the Sept. 2008 issue of Muscle Car Review will contain 20 pages about our 348 and 409 engines!!! That has to be the most pages in a single issue of any magazine!!!:clap:clap:clap
I was contacted by Goeff Stunkard, who is writing the articles, several weeks ago. That's how I know. There will be an article on a 59 Fire Chief special Biscayne 315HP that is a survivor. Then 4-5 pages on the 348 409 Z-11 engines and then 4-5 more pages on 2 Z-11 cars...the Frank Sanders and Terry Prince cars. I don't think "we" have had this much exposure ever!!!! Goeff isn't sure if the Z-11 cars will make the cover..........but we can all hope!!
So, I went out and picked up the current issue Sat. It's a great magazine!! Has an article on a 59 fuelie Impala...65 one owner Dodge Coronet Hemi with 3300 miles... 1970 COPO Nova...probably the world's finest 67 SS 396 Chevelle SURVIVOR all original....big section on the 67-69 Firebirds.....62 Catalina 3x2 4-speed convertible......Just all kinds of cars!! TomK.......there is an article about finding 2 1970 Mustang Mach 1 351 Twister Special and a 429 Torino.......these were both found in a barn in Moundville, MO!!!! I can't even find Moundville on a MO map???!!! This is the June issue so Sept will be out in about 3 months.
I'm getting a subscription .........this looks like a great magazine!!! I'll keep you all posted if I hear of any more information.

Phil, that's all good news. Except for the part about "Moundville, MO".. I have no idea where that might be, but I know I haven't been there yet. Wanna see who finds it's treasures first?
I went looking at the local Barnes & Noble this past Sunday trying to locate that article in Super Chevy on CPG, but I did not spot the title on the rack :(. I did purchase one I never heard of, MuscleCar Milestones, and on page 58 it ran an article entitled "Formula 409" picturing a sweet stock looking 1962 Biscayne with a factory 409/409. Very well represented in terms of the 348 --> 409 history and evolution, with subtiitles like "409 to the Rescue" and so forth. Text & Photos by Harold Pace, 2008 edition of magazine that appears not to be a serial (with monthly issues, etc.).
Enjoy!

I know exactly where Moundville is! I took my father in laws truck up there to get inspected at a little tire shop called Bott's. It's real close to where Lori grew up. I'll have to ask some people if they know of any more cars sitting in barns!
