This is probably the best video I have seen on the P-51 and one who flew them.
Beautiful filming of a beautiful airplane and a great story.:bow

Cecil
That is a great video. I had the opportunity to see and sit in a P51 at Hogan field in Hamilton Ohio thirty years ago. I was promised a ride but moved a way shortly after that and never got to go up. The area where the granddaughter sat in the plane was where the radio equipment was originally and I barely fit back then, no chance now.

Thanks,
My wifes father was a mechanic on one of those planes and I've been looking for years for details on the B-25's that made the raid. After they took off, he worked aircraft maintenence all over the Pacific till the end of the war. In his later years he worked on B-58's, F-111's and finally F-16's.
Much appreciated,
Tom

Tom,
There were several books written by members of the Dolittle Raiders. I'm sure you saw the movie "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" . The book it was based on was by Capt. Ted Lawson and was better than the movie. If you haven't read it, you should.
I met Gen. Dolittle once at a Navy Tailhook Convention in Reno back in 73 or 74. He was an honory member since he took off from a carrier but never landed on one. Really an interesting guy but I was surprised how small he was.
