The 409 mounts are heavier and a bit wider as well. Be careful what you buy, with the made in India,Korea,China,or Pakistan junk that they sell..If you can, take your motor mount perches or towers with you when you purchase the mounts and test fit the mounts..I had the mounts your talking about, they fit on the perches bad.The mount ears are wider(further apart) than the perches by a good 3/4 of an inch..Some of the mounts have spacers welded in to compensate for the extra width and sloopy fit.I ended up ordering mounts from GM.They were costly but fit absolutely perfect to the motor mount perches or towers.I believe I ordered the 396,427,454 mounts because the 409 GM number(discontinued),and they crossed over to those mounts. They are costly, but well worth the piece of mind you get when you see their fit.
PS.---The correct number for the 327 ci mounts should be should be 2267.The 2142 is showing as a 283 ci mount for 1958,1959 Chevrolet. John
