I just got back from 500 mile road trip with my 409 and it was a big success.Driving to St.Ignace Michigan for a car show in 85 deg temps I ran 160 deg water temps,60lbs oil pressure and 13 mpg fuel consumption. The trip back in 70 deg temps I ran 120 deg water temps,60lbs oil pressure and 13 mpg.I did not win no award out of 1,200 cars, but the oil pressure, water temps and fuel mileage made me happy.I also had something happen to me,I was dusting my car and I heard a Women's voice in back of me,saying I like your car.I turn around and there stands the first Women of drag racing Linda Vaugn.I asked her for her autograph and she signed my Hurst shifter :)

Jim how was the show? I have not been there for about 5 years. The last I heard it was going down hill fast. We have been going to Frankenmuth since then,it is a much better show now than St.Ignace. Sounds like the 09 did very well
on the road. 13mpg with a big horse 09 sounds very good.

Jim If you go to Frankenmuth make sure you go down town Friday night.
There is a show on the streets of down town with music and food. Saturday and
Sunday are the show days. Saturday night is a cruise down town.

I also talked to Bob Webster for 30 min about 409's,he's a great guy and he liked what I did with my 409.
I also visited the GM display and saw the 409 on display and I also seen project X 57 Chevy and what GM has done with this car.
