hi running a 7 inch booster but sitting to low to clear valve covers orignal i been looking for a set of brackets that would raise the booster and master i believe a orignal set would work but have not been able to found. All and any help would be great 1962 impala thanks gabe:dunno:dunno:dunno:dunno
I had to slot the bracket holes to move the booster up on mine. I also used washers on the lower holes to angle it up more. I ended up with 1/4" clearance. I have to remove the booster to get the vc off.

When I converted over to disc brakes on my 64 Impala, I installed the 7" power booster.I purchased the brackets from The Right Stuff Co.They had the correct brackets to raise the power booster up away from the valve cover.Even with these brackets,I do have to take the entire power booster off to remove the valve cover. Gabe-
I have a set from SSBC that cleared my Offy VCs, with double gaskets. Not sure how they measure up against the Lamar VCs, but if you want them, PM me your address; if you cover shipping, they're yours.
A man only needs 1 set of booster brackets.. :)

Gabe-
I am currently running a 1 1/8" master on my 62 without a booster. The pedal is a little hard at full push, but otherwise is fine for cruising. I actually like it this way so I don't accidently lock them up. With 4 wheel discs I don't think you will have a problem, especially when it's not driven that much. I can't run a booster on my car as I only have 6 inches of vacuum.
I know I am going to get some flack about this, but I have tested it in an emergency situation where i needed alot of brake and it stopped on a dime.

Gabe-
Glad you mentioned this. My 1 1/8" master does have the recessed rod plunger. You do not want to use yours without a booster. I'll get you the specs on the brackets I have.
