With all the recent posts about zinc oil additives I hadn't seen the Torco High Performance Zinc Enhanced Engine Protector they mentioned in the article. Anyone using it?

Now THAT'S making sense !
A stock stroke 409 making 472 ft pounds torque... oh yeah !

Good read for sure

Just IMAGINE the results with a set Bob Walla aluminum 409 heads ?:deal

Very cool! The only thing that I degress is the quote"With roller lifters, there’s no need for cam break-in, so the 120-minute jog was to seat the rings and bearings."

The cam info is correct but the ring seat is off. Todays engine builders use a different approach to honing the cylinders which results in ring seat to happen once an engine reachs temp or sooner. Todays bearings are seated within 20 minutes or so.
Older hone jobs caused rough areas and sharp edges in the cylinder walls thus it took longer to seat the rings in. It also increase all the tiny little metal in your oild until it is broke in. Older bearings where actualy harder and again took longer to smooth out.
I know it's not that detailed but I went through the hone part a few weeks ago and thought I would pass on the info.
