I SOLD it all,
my 62 convert, the 62 Impala 2 door hardtop, the 62 Belair 4 door,
the 409 and the 348 tripower motor and any of the extras.
So I am back to being just a Chevelle owner until I find something else to buy.
I will be looking for another 62 or maybe a 59.
No more project cars for a while, I am buying the next one done or close to done.

I don't know how you got yourself to part with all that. I couldn't do it. I can buy but get attached easily. ;)
I hope you told the new owner about us. :) He might need our help.

Hey Bob,
I tell everybody that i think might be interested in these cars about this site!!
There is even a guy here in Minneapolis who Specializes in the 63 and 64 chevs.
He is known nation wide for his expertise in these cars,
His name is Jody Anderson, Has shelves full of NOS parts and trim.
I know he is putting together a web site, I will get the link when it is done.

I have done business with Jody in the past. I bought a PS control valve for my 1963 Impala SS. Good quality product at a low affordable price , not to mention quick service. I recommend him for your part needs.

Maybe your situation is different Carl but for my truck with the one piece driveshaft, I had 3 inches removed and welded back together for $50+tax here in my area.

Hey Carl,
Sold it all,... more to have the space back than anything.
But I have already been looking for a replacement for the convertible.
I am looking for a car that is already done.
Just don't have time for a complete project car right now.

Carl, I would get another quote for that driveshaft shortening. I had the shaft shortened for my bel-air and my velle and they cost $45 each.

Hmmmm.... another quote? well, ya see, the drive shaft is already installed in car, lol. had shortened 2.5 inches and it cost $127 something. I believe they charged $38 to rebalance EACH shaft (it was all in one piece) I forgot the slip at the bodyshop, will have to grab it tomorrow to get correct $#s BTW, it was CATCO (sp) that did it. Where did you guys get yours done? Oh well, its done.

I had mine done at the oldest, dirtiest, grimiest shop in town! LOL This place probably did machine work for George Washington! :D
I couldn't find anyplace in my area to balance it so what I paid is just for cutting and welding back together. They do these frequently and assured me it wouldn't be a problem. My truck drives the same so they did as promised.
You did a good thing by having yours balanced. I'd like to have mine done someday just to true things up.
Now, for other business....tell me about this 70 CST of yours. :deal I've got a 69 C-10 and 71 C-20. Best looking trucks ever made! ;)

That's odd, I did mine at CATCO here in Mankato. It wasn't ballanced and was only two cuts and a weld so maybe that's it.
