One of my close friends got married the last week, Johnny and Angie and the week before the wedding we were talking about what they were going to do about the wedding car.
Johnny said he was going to drive his car, a cool early 50`s Chrysler but the car has holes in the floorboard, loose seat and just not the car to have for your wedding.
I told Johnny it just wasn`t right and I would find a car for them.
So on that Wensday i went to the big cruz-in at PIR and walked all over the feild looking for the right car.
Johnny is a rockabilly drummer so the car had to be the right style.
By the end of the show I almost had given up ,, THEN,,,, There it was !!!
A 35 Buick sedan !!! Sittin on the ground,,, flat black with Von Dutch style striping !!
I waited for the owner or someone to caome back to the car and hope he would be willing to make this happen.
Anyways,,, he did come back and when I asked if he was willing to do this, nervous that I would be looked at like I was nutz,,, he jumped at it and said , no problem !!
As it turns out, Marsh the owner and I hit it off !! Cool guy!
When I went to his shop to talk details , Marsh showed me the violin case it his back seat that when opened didn`t have a Tommy gun but was custom upholstered to hold six cans of beer !
Marsh then said he was have one more customized for johnny and Angie that held a bottle of champaign and two glasses !!:brow
I told Johnny I found the car but didn`t give any details about it.
Well the wedding went off perfict and the surprize to the bride and groom was worth all the effort.
