I've discussed here before how the 58-64 gas pedal tends to fall off of the ball studs. No more comments about the size of my balls, please.:takethat:rofl
I just found out about this pedal from Billet Specialties:
http://www.billetspecialties.com/item.asp?cid=8&scid=274&pid=1013
I called them. This pedal bolts onto the existing threaded holes. It DOES have a stainless steel hinge. No more pedal that falls off:clap
If I get the matching brake & Ebrake pedals, I'm looking at close to $170. Wifey will say:argue::nono1:

If originality isn't a concern why not save some money and adapt the 57 pedal which is hinged? Your wife will probably be happier, especially when you show her how much you saved.

I will be ordering the set. They look very nice with the Black Anozied finish.

I guess for once, I'm the exception, mine has never fallen off and I drive the car alot. I trimmed the pad around the pedal area during the restoration and gave the re-pop pedal a smack with the rubber hammer to install.

Of course now that I've said that, It will probably fall off next drive..... :doh:rofl:rofl
