Anyone have a photo of their frontend? I noticed yesterday when I was under the car that there is a gap between my pitman arm and my steering center link. I need a photo to make sure my center link is installed the correct way. I hope it isn't flipped 180 degrees :doh
Also, the pitman arm should be above the center link correct? I THINK mine is below. :doh Damn it :cuss:bang

I just snapped a few pics of my 63 on the lift a few days ago so your in luck. I converted mine to manual steering but should be the same as PS if that's what you have.
Pitman arm is above center link.
Hope this helps,
Bob

thanks!
I think I got to the bottom of this mystery. There is supposed to be a bushing/rubber piece on the bottom of the pitman arm where it attaches to the center link. Its gone on my pitman arm, I know it. THAT is why there is a gap. Pretty sure its installed correctly since the pitman arm was never removed from the steering box when I rebuilt my frontend. My pitman arm is original 44 year old GM. Time for a new one I think.
I'll still try and confirm that my center link isn't installed 180 degrees wrong but I'm sure I would have had issues getting the pitman arm to connect to the center link if it was.
