Hi All, My name is Steve and i live in New Zealand. Been looking round for a site that has info on my wifes car, and i think i have found it. The car is a 60 2DHT, we bought it out of Orriville Calif. It appears to be a BB car but had a 454/TH400 and pozi 12Bolt in it when we got it. Seems hard to decifer things as far as engine type goes.
LMBRJQ is becoz the guy we bought it off was a lumber Jack, and thats the plate we are putting on it.
Regards
Steve

Steve,
Welcome to the the asylum:hug
North Island or South Island?
I visited the Wellington area many years ago when I was in the US Navy. I spent several days with a local hotrodder and many of his mates, and had a memorable :rofl time.

Hi John,
Thanks for the welcome.
Havent met many of the asylum members yet, they must still be locked away at the moment.
We live in Christchurch, middle of the South Island. My wife Lynette and i have had a few rodders from the US stay with us as well, good people, great fun.
I see by your vehicle list you have a F***. We have a 37 V8 Deluxe, made into a phaeton, but we improved it greatly by installing a 383Chev, cross ram, 700R4. Get called a cross dresser over here if you have a Chev in a F***
Maybe see you over here again some time, or vice versa

Welcome aboard Steve:beerbang. How about telling us a little bit more about that car you've got and the hot rod goings on there in NZ. You say it's a big block car is that now or originally? And maybe some pic's to we love pic's. Ken

Thanks for that Ken,
The car is a factory 8, but cant tell if it is a W or not. It has a 454/TH400 and 12 bolt Posi in it now (like that when we got it)
This is the only site i could find that you could get Trim and Vin info there and then, so were stoked with the site, and seems like a good bunch involved with it (all like minded).
Will put some pics on this week when i can figure out how to post them. we are in the middle of prepping it for paint at the moment going a dark blue with pearl. Fire wall all done etc. Used to be a Turquoise paint and interior car, tinted glass, padded dash from what i can gatehr.
Lynette and my self were involved with our street rod Nats at easter just gone so will put some pics on from there as well.
better get back to work i suppose.
Cheers
Steve
