I have a 1960 Elcamino, 348 4 barrle, the W motors have such a classic look I would never think of replacing it. I have had the Camino for two years . We have just finished building a garage and into it we put the Elcamino and our 64 Nova Wagon. I can't wait till we can start working on both of these vehicles. They both need restoration and we will keep them around for ever. The Nova was my Wifes first car in 1974 been in the family ever since. It now belongs to my son and he will never part with it.

A 55 BelAir with a 250hp 348/700r4. One extra truck 348, one extra car 250hp348, one truck 409, one 61' 409 complete, and I've got a trade deal in the works for a 61 350hp 348 minus carbs up. As long as I keep my 348 count above my 409, I can keep my username; right? ;) NUT

We havea 1963 Impala SS convertible. Originally a 327 car, but
now has a correct glide 340hp 409. An awesome car to drive,
and we tow our tent trailer to cruises and rod runs with it. Just
sold my 65 truck engine, complete and running--- far too cheap
according to some ($500.00) usd.

Well I guess I'd better put my two cents worth in here as the 348 Nut has posted his ! I have a 37 chev pickup with a truck 409,with the work on the truck and engine in progress(slow) A 1955 chev 4 door sedan that will have an" Aubrey " built 348 punched .125 thousands overbore with a big block 427 crank and a special set of his Ross forged pistons in it,completely balanced, his special grind comp cam(rumpety-rump,hee hee hee!)It will displace 427 cubic inches when done and will have 348 heads that will be reworked with larger stainless steel valves and be pocket ported,it will also be run with headers backed up by a super T-10 with 2:88 first gear and 3:36 rear gearing, should make that 'ol sedan "snort"!I will be running tri-power that Aubrey is also building up for me with one of Ignition man's reworked Hei 348 distributors.I also have one running 348 250 hp and 3 other complete engines that need rebuilding and have a line on another complete truck 409(can't seem to get away from those truck engines, hence my forum handle, hee hee hee!)Us w engine scroungers here in the great white north country can't be choosy as these engines are few and far between up here.Seasons greetings to all and happy holidays to all on the forum. P.D.Petty:cheers :D
