Time

Bob, to get the time to show current time on my page on the site, I have to go to Mid Atlantic time zone. This is GMT minus 2 hours. Should be GMT minus 5 hours. Somehow this time is off. The post I was referring to was showing 4:09 on my screen. Just tried to get it right, and came up with the above numbers. Are you showing the Eastern Time Zone to get your time correct?

That's been a problem since we got this board. vBulletin was made by a company in the U.K. and that may be why. (not sure)

For now, just use whatever time setting gets it right for you. It won't be the correct name but will do the same job.

Also, I now have to manually log in every time I visit, where before, when I accessed the site, I was automatically logged in.

Your cookie crumbled.

Try deleting all cookies (WARNING - this will affect ALL sites that login you in automatically, so have the passwords on hand). The next time you visit a website site and login, Windows will offer to 'remember' the info and create a new cookie for you.

Wrench is probably right. Cookies are used to remember settings like that.

Rather than deleting all the cookies on you computer, try going here: http://www.348-409.com/forum/misc.php?action=faq&page=1#clearcookies

That should only delete the cookies from this site.
