I've added more in the Nostalgia page, even my car is there! If anyone has more old photos for this page, let me know! I also added Promotional Photos - these are B&W pictures of factory display photos - all kinds here, not just Chevy, more to come. And a section with photos of 409 Speed Parts - the costly goodies we add to our iron to make them fly! You just might see some of
your parts pictured there!
Enjoy!

Wrench, I just spend a half an hour going over the updates on your pages. I especially like the groupings of the 62s, where you have all those bubbletops lined up :)
I did note that you had included several pics of your own '62 409/409 car. Looks pretty good to me!
I am pleased to inform you that your "thumbnail" choice for the "Reckon Yard" photos is a car of my own, a 1961 BA 2 door. And yes, it is being restored! A few things have slipped ahead of it, but I did strip the paint off the body this past Fall. And the 348 cleaned up at .030" and now has a 3x2 setup sitting on it (but no internals as yet).
Thanks for putting the effort into the site!!!
Cheers,

A lot of people probably didn't know this, but Bob beat me by about two weeks getting the first 409 site online. He put in a lot more than I had ever thought about putting on my site. He did quite a lot of research and data collection work! I decided rather than be redundant with much the same data as his, my site would be mainly eye candy for Chevy lovers. I knew I couldn't compete with his site on the data side of things as well as running an all star forum. He also graciously allows me to 'mirror' the data pages.
Your 61 restoration was the actual inspiration for that part of my site. Really!
Thanks for the praise. I have other stuff in mind for the site. Chevy's in Plastic (toys, models, promo cars) was up for a while but I took it down when my son went to Gallery software. I've collected many more of them too (photos that is). I have a lot more prototype pictures of a lot of different cars too. I kinda miss piddling with html code and am almost as rusty as my 62 floorboards!
Here's neat photo of a pair of Chevy's. Check out the background.

Guess what mountain that is!

Mountain? What mountain? I see a pair of bubbletops. There's no mountain there!
Others might say one bubbletop, one 1961 Chevy two door sport coupe :)
I would guess Mount St. Helens before she blew her top off?

It's actually Mt. Fuji in Japan. There's a web site there that's dedicated the the 62 BelAir!
These cars are all over the world!

Was looking down the list thinking looks like Rockford. So wide. Then saw the tower and it was Rockford, Illinois. Very wide track. We ran funny cars there 4 wide! Saw it with my own eyes. Is this track still in operation?

Yes the byron drag strip near rockford is still open. I was there in oct. this year. They host a outlaw and modified super stock shootout every year including a wheelie contest its out of hand.:D
