Ok, lets get a conversation going... Name one or more things that really bug you! Can be anything you encounter in life.
I'll start: (just a few off the top of my head)
1) your out cruising in your perfectly clean and dry antique Chevy (the one that you never drive in rain) and you encounter someone washing their car on the street. Part A) they do not stop spraying water when you approach and don't care if you or your car gets wet. Part B) The road is so soaked, you end up getting your car all dirty from the water spraying up from the tires! So much for keeping your car dry too. What's worse? It's a Hyundai they are washing!
2) Your driving on a 2 lane road. In the opposite lane, there is a vehicle double parked and blocking that lane. There is also an oncoming car that rather than stop, they swerve over and make you stop instead! (I see this one all the time)
3) People that throw snow out on the road!
4) Seeing an American flag sticker on a foreign car. Sorry, but this just doesn't look right to me. If you want to support America, what are you doing driving a Toyota???
Well there, that ought to get the ball rolling! :D

People driving while using cell phone.
People on diets, ordering everything on the menu, plus a Diet drink.
People who throw ther cigarette butts out the window. I always wonder why they cannot use the ashtray!!

My job, the French, anti-American protesters, ricers, Harleys without mufflers, any green food, rain on the weekends, slow drivers in the fastlane, cats, rap music (if you can call it that), democrats, riots, rioters, Twins blowing the game in the 9th, ebay cheats, clogged drains, new housing prices, new car prices, that guy at the drive up window, dead batteries in the remote, burnt pizza, AOL, pop ups, tellamarketers, road construction, speed limits, and the machine shop bill. To name a few.

Hey Bob,
I love the people that DECIDE TO USE THEIR WINDSHIELD WASHERS WHILE DOING 60mph on the interstate.
Of course, this always happens after you just washed and waxed YOUR CAR!
They should have a speed lockout on that feature that only allows its use below 20mph.
Oh Bob - those Toyotas are built in Indiana, Kentucky, and California. That's pretty American to me.
Or how about the GM cars that are built in Canada?? They are foreign too.

The guy meeting you at 60 mph in a 35 mph construction zone and throwing gravel and rocks all over.
And on the Toyota subject, no matter how many plants they have in the US, the name "Toyota" never will sound very american.:)

Toyota and Chevrolet merged and are making auto's at the plant in Fremont, Ca. They use to make Chevy trucks there. Now when you talk to some one in that area about the plant, they say they are making TOY-LETS there.

Well guys we can joke around about the Toyota thing - and I do think some of the comments are funny.
But remember, Toyota has a multi-billion dollar investment in this country. And that means many Americans are feeding their families, building homes, and restoring old Chevys on Toyota's (and their associated vendors) paychecks.
The days of foreign cars vs. american cars is long gone. It is a worldwide market. Get this, Hyundai is breaking ground in Alabama for production. Right up the street from Mercedes and Honda. Did you ever think you would see a KOREAN car mfg building in the USA?? :deal
This reminds me of the Harley guys who hate foreign bikes. Did they ever notice that MOST of Harley's parts come from foreign countries. Hmmmm, the gauges and electronics are from Nippondenso (a Toyota affilliate), the shocks and forks from Showa (a Honda company), carbs from Keihin (another Honda company).
Only thing American about a Harley is the frame and assembly location.

The really sad part about, about this world economy, and I know we cannot get away from it. When Chevrolet had the truck plant in Fremont, Ca. The suits hired a camera crew to go out into the employee parking lot and see how many American made and how many foreign made vehicles were there. To there (probably not surprise) they found the majority of them to be foreign made. Now bear in mind that the employee of that plant could go to any GM dealer and get a nice discount on any new vehicle. But they still chose to purchase foreign. Was it because they built a better mouse trap? We will never know, but we do know that they cut their own throats as far as a job went. Maybe that is why we on this forum like to build and drive the OLD iron. Hey while we are on the subject Why does one put a wing on the back of a car that has front wheel drive??

I don't like old people who park their shopping carts in the middle of the asle while they read the labels. Old people seem to live in their own world. Hey I'm old people.:cuss

I have come to the conclusion that people "drive" their shopping carts the same way they drive on the streets. How about the people that have a cart full and go to the 15 or less line?.

Good point JJ,
I am reading an engineering article at the moment, Lutz wants to make Buick the "Lexus" of GM. (Caddy is well on their way of becoming the BMW of GM).
So, they took a production CHEVY Trailblazer and loaded it up with sound deadener and NVH materials - basically to quiet the interior down. The "suits" were very happy - and the new Buick suv (which will take place of the Oldsmobile suv) is going to be a "quieter version" of the Chevy! :evil
The point is - why can't Chevy have the quieter version? They would kick the competition in the butt, have a better vehicle, the press would fall in love with it - and GEEZ, I wonder how many MORE they would sell!!
GM STILL doesn't get it! :cuss
The new GTO is on the way - and from what I hear - NOBODY is in love with it. :evil
I bet if everyone on this board "took over" GM - we could return them to "where they used to be" - controlling well over 50% of the market with products that were durable and model unique. :cheers

Just followed a guy in a Hyundai with a BIG sign in the rear window,,,,,,Pround to be an American !!
I don`t care if it is built in the States,,,It`s still a foreign company with the profits going over seas. If you buy American,,,American companies would be building the factories and hiring the Americans !!
Some thing that bugs me,,,,Harleys with quite pipes !!!
LOL,,,,,,,,dq

Hey JJ,
Another good point with the shopping carts!
I also believe that people WALK the way they drive. Go to the local Home Depot on the weekend. Just make a casual observation.... it is truly amazing.
DQ, on that straight pipe issue.... sometimes that can be annoying - like on a 400 mile tour. They really rattle your brain.
I have a set of Supertrapps on the XR1000 - with the competition baffles. It took the "ringing" out of the exhaust note - much better - especially at 8,000rpm! :D

I hate suits who run an airline into the ground, convince their employees to take pay cuts, and think it's ok to give themselves huge bonuses at the same time.
