Just a suggestion, but I went to the local (NAPA) parts store and was able to get everything I needed. I chose not to order one of those "kits" as it always seems they're missing something, or one or more pieces are not "quality" parts. If you don't like something from your local parts store (quality, fit, etc.) they are happy to take it back and try to locate another for you.

Plus you might be borrowing certain tools from them, like spring compressors (highly recommended) and such...

My 2 cents, having done this twice in the past 2 years, and facing another opportunity,

If your not going for the resto bag I'd get a kit from someone like Energy suspension so I could get the poly bushings and such, unless you like wallowing through the curves! Tighten up that front and rear suspension, you'll be glad you did!

The answer is YES! The OEM style rubber bushings are desingned to mush out under load to help soften the ride. In a performance application you want to keep the suspension geometry where the engineers intended. Poly bushings will give a firmer more stable ride with the addition of performance shocks and tires!
