Just recently found this great web site.

I just bought a 64 Impala SS with a 409/340 hp

Does anybody know how many 409/340 409/400 & 409/425 were made?.

Is there a way to find out how many 64 ss 409 are still in circulation?

Congratulations on your wise purchase. :cheers And welcome aboard. If you go to the home page and look under 348-409 I think you'll find the number of engines built but I don't know if I've seen any estimates about how many are left.

I just noticed on your profile that you're from Toronto. I'm just up the road here in Barrie Ont. There are a quite a few members up here in the great white north. You'll find this site very helpfull especially if you are planing any repairs or modifications. There's alot of really knoledgable guys here and Bob does a great job of hosting this site.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations to a new 409 owner. The wife and I are coming to Toronto in July for a wedding, actually Mississaugua, (I probably misspelled that).

We will be arriving the evening of the 8th in Buffalo and driving to Toronto and leaving monday July 12th. Maybe we could meet for coffee or :cheers and I could see your car.

You are right!! And I get to Great Falls quite often. Hopefully very soon I can make it there in my 64. I have had a whole bunch of unexpected delays with the engine. Should be back in this week. (I hope)

First to the muffler shop, then to North 40 body shop for paint. And hopefully to KC! But fall seeding may keep me from going. We'll see.

At the rate I have been going, it may not even get painted in time.
