Go to Ebay.com, auto parts, in search 348,409, you'll get to two pages of W parts. Look thru them til you get to a "marine intake manifold".
This is DEFINATELY an aluminum intake made for marine use. Check the runners, look pretty good. Carb bolt flange is for a large AFB. I'm high bidder at this point ($54) but reserve not met (how high is it?). But now I question whether it will work on a passenger car, look at the water crossover, is that blocked in the front and open in the rear?. Can the front be opened (bronze pcs removed) and rear plugged?. The canister underneath is where you would connect the PCV (instead of inside the tappet cavity and out the back of the block), I think.
It's a funky looking piece but if it would work on a car it looks like good runners and big carb pad. Go for it or pass?. This would go on a 409 truck block with -333 heads (same as 348?). Help?.
