There's an off brand rebuilt 348/409 distributor on Ebay today, it's up to $152.50. Is this right?. What is a regular 348/409 in good condition worth?. There's a nice machined aluminum adapter there that's bid to $33 so far (4 days left), adapts a regular sm/big distributor to a W motor. Good for puttingan HEI in.

I paid $58 for one that I am going to have Ignition Man convert to MSD trigger.
Price sounds high?

Yours sounds right, Ebay seems way high, it's nothing special. I'd either do what your doing or go the adapter route and use a regular small block.

I bought a 919 (dual point) distributor about 5 years ago, paid $200 it. It was a nice, correct distributor though. I would think that price is high for a aftermarket unit. Tommy:)

Anything with the numbers "409" in it on ebay is going to almost always be too high! What things sell for there isn't what goes on in the real world. (although, every once in a while, you can get a deal)
You really have to have constraint and know your stuff when doing ebay. Sometimes you can get lost in the excitement! :D

I bought a dual point at Carlisle last Spring for somewhere around $300 bucks but it is very clean and nice, p/n Band and all were there. Spring cap on oil filler tube was a little bit pranged, but the distrib. had already been freshly re-bushed.
Thanks

The one on Ebay is a standard everyday 348/409 single point, nothing special. What's a regular everyday 348/409 single point going for in good used condition?.
