Jeff, I have been told that the 348 blocks with the X have thick wall castings and can safetly be bored to 409 specs. You can then use standard 409 pistions which should be plentiful, as most 409 engines need bored. That is one way to get a nice standard 409 engine. Maybe Phil or Tony can verify this. How about it Phil, is this a fact or BS? Let us know what the head casting are. The intake should be a nice piece.
