Hi Everyone,
I've got a 9000 series carter on my stock 340hp 409. I seem to be getting some fuel puddles down where the secondary counter weights are. Its not very much, and the engine runs OK with the fuel there. What is this from? My air horn is tight and the venturis are also. Any ideas would be great!

I'm not completely sure on this but I think that if the fuel level in the float chambers gets too high It will find it's way into the secondary counter weight chambers. From there it will leak into the engine through the throttle shaft. My only experience with this came when I had a fuel pressure regulator that was set too high and the float valve wouldn't hold it. When I got the fuel pressure down to 5 psi the problem went away.

Float level is just a little bit high.
