Here is a couple of pictures of my broken rear end after I pulled it out. Not something I want to experience again anytime soon :D I think when I get serious I'll be calling Aubrey for some STRONG rear end parts! Thanks to those on this board that helped me out with this!

You're lucky! I've broken two rearends over the years, and it's always been the spider gears (open rears.....NO MORE!) which have, in turn managed to work themselves up against the input shaft, and punch holes in the case :eek: rendering them un-reuseable!

Yup.... ring gear pulls away from the pinion... and you strip the teeth off !

I must say... To drive a 409 4 speed car without a posi.... UNTHINKABLE !
