Trivia question? Yesterday a couple of gearheads stopped by my garage and after a short B.S. session, one of them ask me if I knew about the core support bolts on 409 cars only, not being the ordinary carriage type bolts, but chrome head type bumper bolts. My response was that this was new to me. Anyone else ever heard of this or are they just adding some smoke to the atmosphere?

somebodies pulling your leg. :rofl All of the rad core bolts that I've seen are zinc plated with looks simaliar to chrome when it's new but it's no different for the finish on the 6 cyl bolts

i'm only familier with 63s. maybe the guy is thinking of the fan shroud spacers that only the 09 cars have?
if you see the guy again, tell him that the low hp versions of the 348-409 are the "piston return spring delete" models.
