It took a few days of headaches and aggravation to get the thing to work but I finally got it. :D Here's a few topics of interest:

First off, don't mind the colors! Red, green and yellow aren't my cup of tea either. ;) I will be making some cosmetic changes soon but I've got a full day of welding and grinding that needs my attention first. LOL

Secondly, you'll notice that your already a registered member! That's because this photo program is so compatible with our vBulletin, it uses information directly from it so no need to register again. Everyone that is registered on this board, is automatically registered over there.

Thirdly, everyone is allowed 1 meg of storage. There is a file size limit of 100kb's. That's more than enough for a pic. In fact, it's too much but im allowing a bit extra. In order to get the maximum amount of pictures in your album, I advise you to resize/resample your pics down to a smaller file size in a paint or photo program. I use Photoshop to do mine. I open the picture in Photoshop, then I resize it to about 500 pixels wide. (size can differ) The height get proportioned automatically.

An example is a picture I took with my digital camera that was set on half size. The picture starts out as 896X600 pixels and 100kb's in size straight from the camera. By taking this picture and resizing it to 500 pixels wide, it now is: 500X335 and only 23.2 kb's in size.

By doing this, you will be able to get more pictures in your album and possibly save us some space on the server. (in the event you didn't use your entire meg of space) An example would be if you can limit each of your pictures to 30kb's or less, you'll be able to put 34 or more photo's in your album! Not too shabby huh?

Well, go over and kick the tires a bit. I don't fully understand everything yet but we'll get it tuned up where we like it.

You can keep your job if you want to but look at all the work the new photo gizmo will save you. :D Some members may prefer to show their cars off with the old format so we may still need ya. ;)

If your still interested in maintaining the old member section, I see no reason why we can't have both.

All I can say is that 348 and 409 owners deserve the very best! LOL :D When we do something, we do it right! ;)

I can't take any credit for designing the photo area but many thanks go out to our donating members. The photo program cost us $149.00 but I think it's going to be one of the "highlights" of this site. (second to our message board)

So...does anyone miss Network54 yet??? LOL

Ok, I give up. How do I post a picture or start an album in the new photo section?
