Thanks for posting that bob, that was the fan i took off my 63 409, it has those #'s stamped on every blade fin, just wondering if there was any meaning behind them

Strange.....my spare 409 came with a fan blade that had F**D part numbers on it.

ya know wrench, it is strange :? , we gonna have to dig a little deeper into this mystery.... any other thoughts ????

If you do a patent search based on the number shown Bendix Corporation took out the patent in 1986. The date stamp would indicate the fan probably came off a 1988 vehicle and not a 409 engine originally.

I work at a F**D Dearership I had our parts dept look the part# and here's what it is a 4 blade fan that fits a 78-79 Granada it will also fit a Mustang and LTD but it was primary for a Granada :rofl

I would guess those are replacement fan blades.

Bob do we have another mystery like the dipstick with SS stamped on it :D
