View Full Version : tuning?
Has anyone used a g-tech? These will give you 1/4 mile e.t., speed, g force, rate of acceleration etc... I have read they are good but would like to hear from someone who has one and has used it. The nearest dragstrip is 5 hrs away and I would like to get some accurate info to help me tune before I drive all that way. If they are good I will go and buy one.

I gave my brother one of those for Christmas of course I've used it a few times. :D It is very accurate as far as telling 1/4 mile et and speed. My brother claims it's within a tenth compared to the strip he goes to. He uses it for tuning evaluation which is what it is great for. Even if it is off a little compared to a dragstrip clock, it is very good for comparing different runs and seeing if you are making progress with your tuning.

Funny you should mention this.
We were just talking about them last night.
They make several models and of course the most expensive seems to be the one to get at $250.

Thanks guys, they seem to have some glitches but all in all it beats guessing. After we buy our new house, I may have to get one. :)
