I can almost say that I'm ready to go !
1962 ( Canadian ;) ) BelAir sport coupe, original Corona Cream paint ( faded and chipped ). 423.7 cubic inch, stock compression, stock stroke, stock intake & carbs, stock lift mech cam, 409 NHRA / IHRA legal Stock Eliminator engine, new Jerico 4 speed 2.83 1st gear, 10.5" McCleod "soft lock" aluminum clutch w/ sintered iron solid hub disc. Factory rear end fuly modified with steel bearing caps, webbed housing, custom built 30 spline spool, Moser race axles with large bearings. 28" X 9" X 14" Mickey Thompson slicks on 14" X 8" chrome reverse wheels.
Performance ?
Not driven yet :( .
According to the "official" performance calculator book, based on the HP numbers made on the engine dyno, with a pefect chassis, the car should run 11.20's @ 117-118 MPH in Calgary ( 3500+ ft ).
I'm expecting 11.50's + 11.70's in Calgary/ for now. Good for some really deep 11's at sea level.
And YES, it's a car, with full street equipment ( less wipers ). On occasion, it WILL be driven on the street :deal

Bob,
We run two '62 Bel Air's , one is a sedan body, runs 10.60's consistently, at 3700 lbs, the other is a bubbletop, runs 10.10's, weighs 3300lbs. The sedan is a 450ci 409, basically stock heads, with the factory 2-4 intake, the coupe is a 427 ci 409, using a stock crank, modified heads, and a sheet metal intake. Both are stick shift, both using a Mcleod soft-lok clutch. We run them at Nostalgia events in the Mid-Atlantic region. We will be at Englishtown this Sunday for the Funny Car Reunion as part of an eight car Super Stock field.

62 Bel Air post with 482ci/409 with basically stock heads, Isky solid cam, 12-1 compression, 380hp single four intake and Holley 830 and a Powerglide. Best time so far of 11.04 at 121mph on 13 year old slicks. New ones should already be here.
