Just a heads up,
spotted a 409 Powered 33 ford roadster.
Just received the latest "Rod & Custom" Magazine in the mail.
Silver 33 ford on the cover, and featured on page 38.
Maybe Rod and Custom has this car featured on their website??????

One of the various street rod magazines had a feature on that car earlier this year or late last year. Having seen it live, I can say it's a really slick and well done car.

Interesting that you mention the 33 Ford powered by a 409. Just today I went out with a pal to look at what he thought (or was told) was a 1932 five window coupe. I don't know the early Fords well, but it looked older to me. Turns out it was a fairly original 1931 Ford, not a 1932. Big difference. Owner was a woman who had it passed down from her Grandfather who purchased it new. It was all steel, in good shape, but her ex-husband had done some "rat rod" work (probably why she divorced him) and tried to graft a Mustang II suspension and then stuff a 283 in it. Not done right, and it sat funny (not low enough). Not sure if it was priced right ($4K) so we contacted another friend who likes these and he made the deal.

I need to stay focused on my existing projects, but this did have some possibilities. The fellow who bought it is a bit of an "investor", not mechanically inclined, and he was thinking he would have someone (my buddy) put it together and then sell it for a profit. Not my style, but to each his own. I bet I see it around over the next year or so, as these projects take a life of their own.

I was thinking how cool it would look with a 409 and fuel injection...

Best,
TomK

Yes a W powered 32 has been one of my "dream cars".

ok call me strange but I hate to hear of people cutting up old cars like a 31 model A for a street rod not many original ones left, and with the fiberglass replicas I just dont see it. Be like cutting up an original 409 62 car and putting a jap slappin rice burner in it. :doh
