After reading another post by Tom K. I was reminded of this website.
Many of you may have seen this site before now, but if not it is interesting to see all the stuff laying around. Many of these cars have sad stories and some have happy endings.

Here is the link to the main page, then click on "bowtie" in the index in the left and it will take you to all the chevrolet an GM cars. look at the bottom of the page to bring you to the next page. Click on one of the thumbnail views and that will get you started.

I've heard of these "Cheetahs" before, but I didn't know they had the 327 fuelie in them. Is this the same engine build that was used in the 1963 Grand Sport? That was one powerful engine!

TomK

Hey Tom

The Grand Sports (all 5) had 377 inch small blocks with 4 webers ...they may have been aluminum as well.
And they were about the only Vettes not made out of fiberglass....I believe they were made of a composite which included magnesium.......even lighter than aluminum.
I saw these race at Mosport sometime around 63 or 64 and still remember their roar.......was a real visious sound.

The Cheetahs were around in the early 60's and I believe they did have the 327 carburated and fuelies....and sounded just like a Vette.
