First, a big "HELLO" to all. What a great site this is!! Does anyone remember anything about a 62 belair race car named Prehistoric Rat. It one of the first cars I saw (in magazine) with M/T power ram. The other one was a 57 belair. On another note: I have reserved a room in KC and have registered to be there with a car. Can't wait!!!

HHR-L80,Welcome aboard I think the Prehistoric Rat was on this site being sold on e-bay but it didn't have a crossram but I do have a 57 Bel-Air with a crossram :) What kind of vehicle do you own?

My car is 64 Impala SS. It has a dual quad 409 (63 vintage) with 4 speed. It has a 3.08 one legger in it now, because that is all I had left in the barn. I can't seem to keep a rear end together. I just picked up a 4.11 posi today and that will be in this weekend. I wanted to get my crossram on before the convention, but it probably won't happen.
Could it be that your 57 was the one I saw in a magazine years ago? The magazine was probably Super Chevy.

HHR-L80,We have a thread in the 348 and 409 engines go to this section and click on (a new member of the family) and tell us your story about your crossram how long have had it and were you got it,add photo's if you have them.I've had my 409/425 in the 57 for 22 years and the crossram installed for 15 years.
If have any questions about your crossram I'd glad to help e-mail me at (JIMKWI@msn.com)

I do recall this vehicle being offered for sale recently. Wasn't this Jack Gibb's car? I think Jack will be in KC in two weeks. Good guy!

HHR, Welcome !! While you have your pumpkin out you should add the bearing cap girdles and aftermarket axles.
Or get the comlete rear end beef-up kit from Aubrey.
No need to do it more then once !!
Go to Aubreys site and click on "our Products", bruneauperformance (http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/) ,,,,dq

Thanks Jim, for the info on the car and thanks for the offer of help. I appreciate that!
dq409, I have been thinking of that same thing. But money is tight and time is short. I'll try to do that this winter. This will be the 3rd time this year.
