Holy moly....where's the time gone???!!! The "gathering" starts 14 days from today!! Hope I'm ready???!!!!

T-shirts will be done next Tues. or Wed.......went out and picked up my "special present" last Sunday in western Kansas....took it to the sandblaster today and off to the powder coater tomorrow. Tony's floggin' on the stroker motor.....whew.......I'm all worn out already!!!!

From the sounds of everything, it looks like we're going to have a spectular turn-out!!! Talked with Don Fezell today and all 3 of his Z-11's will be here!! THAT'S AWESOME!!!! We did lose the one bubbletop of Jim Barnes. The body shop ran into some quarter panel problems from a "previous" body shop and so his car will not be done on time. :cry :cry

Had a couple of emails about dress code for the "banquet". It will be a "run what you brung" affair!!! As Tom Jacobson would say.... normal dress code is tennie runners, jeans and a t-shirt. If it's "formal"...he wears his tennie runners, jeans and a t-shirt with a pocket!!!! :clap :clap That's what we're shooting for!!!!

We're getting ready for the herd!!!! Maybe we can get a group hug to match the smiley!!! :hug :hug

Later.

Phil

Flog is right! The tires of the Impala haven't been on the ground for more than two days in the last month. Had a mishap last week, had the Chevy up on jack stands with the trunk lid open, went to close the garage door (auto close) pushed the button at the back door, stepped toward the car, seen that the door would not clear, I was four steps from the door button and four steps from the trunk lid! After two knee surgeries I just could not move fast enough. Closing hardware fastened to the garage door scrapped to metal on the trunk lid surface  Now something else to fix  Tried the aluminum radiator yesterday, Ran the engine at idle, fan kicked on at 170 dgs, let engine idle for one hour. Temp did not climb past 210 dgs. This was in the garage where the ambient temp was 80 dgs. No shroud, just the tiny one on the fan itself. I think this will do. With the old four core, temp would have gone past 230 dgs in half that time. This is the rad that I bought off Ebay. 239.00 with 10.00 shipping. 40.00 to tig mounting brackets. Looks great ! Griffen of Be Cool rads for this car around 600.00. 409 is running great, laminar power to 5500 rpm. See you in KC. :D

I'm just starting to put the windows in and the convertable top frame back on. Lots to do but I'll get it done good enough to go. I might have to cut a few corners though. I wanted to get and install one of Aubreys rearend upgrade kits but there won't be time for that. I guess I'll just have to take it easy untill I do. :( I want to drive it there but I can always trailer it if it's not quite ready. Even without a car I still wouldn't miss this event.
