This is gonna be tough to put into words but here goes...
There was a dent in the quarter of the '66 about 4" X 6" in a large flat area. (no creased metal) I used a suction cup puller and it popped right out but now it wants to dent back in real easy. If I lean up against the dented area, it pops back in. (did you understand any of that?) :D
Is there some trick to curing this? Maybe with heat? I'm betting there's some old time trick for this. ;)

Bob,
You may be able to get that out by heating the area with a heat gun, and then rapidly cooling the panel. Alot of guys will use dry ice. You may be successful by heating the panel and then have a bucket of ice and water with some towels near by.
Heat the panel and then very quickly apply the ice cold wet towels on the area.
The only draw back is metal usually has a memory so give it a try and let us know how it works out.
PS: you need to do this while the dent is popped in, the heat and quick cooling will pop the dent back out on its own.

The heating and cooling is a good suggestion. I recall reading about this in a CT discussion. You might try checking there as those guys are really good at this (like we are with "W"s :)).
Good luck!

You also might have to "tap" the area around the dent to push it in ever so slightly.
This will also keep the dent from coming back. dq
